Summer weddings have always been very popular, the bride and the groom often have dreams of a glorious day where they can wander the grounds of a stately home looking delightful on the photographs. Unfortunately this dream is becoming less of a reality because of the unpredictable weather. It is very disappointing having your dream of a beautiful summer day shattered with a shower of rain. A better idea is to have a winter wedding and be prepared and dreaming for snow. Have a literal white wedding – in fact you have more chance of having a white winter wedding than you do of having a warm summer’s day. Your wedding could be entirely themed on a snow white wedding theme with ice sculptures and other wintery features. Start with the wedding dresses and suits, fur looks great incorporated into your outfits. A fur gilet over your wedding dress looks very impressive, think Snow Queen with a huge white fur trail or for a more subtle look go for a fur collar. A crisp black morning suit with a white shirt and tie will look very smart in comparison. To have a winter wedding lends itself perfectly to a ready-made theme – you can go for snowflakes and all things wintery. Your frosty day will turn out to be truly heart-warming with all the right elements. Table decorations can be fur cones and wedding cakes already look wintery in pure white with seasonal designing. The disadvantage of a wedding any other time of the year is that you have to think of a theme which tends to be colour-related. A winter wedding brings with it a theme all of its own – every aspect of your wedding can be unique yet matching a season that suits it very well. Your winter wedding colours are already decided for you and this is not a bad thing because white and silver with crystal designing looks ultra-glam, bling without needing to try. Embrace the whole ‘white look’ with white velvet sashes and taffeta adorning the tables and chairs. Less is more and can be very effective; if you feel like a splash of colour red roses will look exceptional. Blue flowers can have an equally alluring effect looking incredibly stylish; the subject of flowers opens itself up to a grand array of wonderful seasonal blooms. Bridesmaid’s dresses could be in navy with Swarovski crystal elements – ice blue looking equally enchanting. A horse and cart makes for a stunning wedding vehicle that will make a wonderful sound when it is drawn along a crisp gravel driveway. For all of your winter wedding supplies go online to search for suppliers in your area. Be sure not to forget the men’s wedding rings or diamond earrings to compliment the bride’s dress perfectly.
