If you are thinking about proposing to your loved one you may be trying to decide upon a suitable time and Christmas is a very good one. Christmas is a time for relaxing and spending time with loved ones which is why it is such as great time to propose marriage and maybe a slightly better chance of your lover accepting! Don’t forget that the story of how you proposed will be a story told to friends and family for years to come. Choose Christmas as a time to be associated with the beginning of your lifelong relationship together. Another reason it is rather pleasant to propose a Christmas time is that you can keep the theme going by holding a winter wedding a few years from now. Winter can be a dreary and depressing time with the colder weather and shorter days however you will be walking on air if you have recently declared your love for each other. An engagement ring is a very important purchase you will need to put a great deal of thought into what kind of ring your partner would like. If you get it right you will make the ‘year’ of the recipient who will be struck down with joy at the excellent choice you have made. Take some time to consider the style your partner would like and give some thought to what is in their existing jewellery collection. You will have a choice of contemporary or traditional and classical with a choice of metals and precious stones. Ponder over your partners existing favourite items and colours then make a conscientious choice. Borrow a ring from your partner’s collection and try to gauge their ring-size, although the ring can be adjusted later on. If you like to be different and want to make your proposal slightly unique there are lots of Christmas based ideas that you can go for to spring a surprise on your fiancée to be. If it snows a unique idea could be to place your ring in its box around the neck of a snowman lovingly made earlier that day, or visit a farm with reindeers and ask staff if a friendly reindeer could be the ring bearer. You could conceal your ring in a Christmas pudding or in a cracker; the fairy on the top of the tree could be the privy to a very special present. Use your imagination and you will be able to think of a truly memorable way to propose in festive style. Celebrate the happy day in years to come with additional gifts of jewellery to match the engagement ring and to rekindle happy memories. Go online and look for Jewellers in your area; all of your jewellery requirements can be found online. Search for engagement rings and complimentary diamond earrings, rings can be adjusted later if the size is not correct.
