Lowest Unique Bid Auctions - Make It Work

Family & Parenting
Hard economic times call for a change of strategy when it comes to day to day living. Most people are cutting out unnecessary products and services from their every day lives in order to save as much cash as possible. For many, avoiding high street retailers and that "impulse buying" feeling is certainly going to be a good start. The reality is that many high street retailers house products that we do not just want, but we need as well. That being said, there are some great ways to get these products at prices that suddenly become affordable.

Using the internet Lowest unique bid auctions have been growing in popularity over the past few years. Many people realise that this is not just a fun experience. Instead, they are realising that this is a genuine opportunity to get high quality products, at rates that are well below what they were expecting to pay. For many people, this represents a huge saving, meaning that they can put their extra cash to good use elsewhere. For other people, it means that they can purchase items that they would never have been able to afford without the huge discounts that they have received.

How do they work Lowest unique bid auctions are something of a phenomenon and they really offer an "everyone is a winner" kind of situation. The auction website earns its cash from charging bidders for each bid that they place. The bidder places a bid and each bid that they place on an item will cost them money. Instead of simply thinking of an ending price that would be reasonable, the bidder needs to decide what the lowest unique bid is going to be ( the lowest amount closest to £0.01 which only receives one bid ). If they are lucky enough to win, then they are going to get the deal of the century on a product that they really want.

For those that do not win Here is the good thing; even the winners can be losers when placing a lowest unique bid. Although most websites have lots of losers, a select few sites have lots of winners too! Some people want a new product, regardless of the cost, for instance, a new laptop, TV, games console or whatever it may be. Some sites will allow people to pay for bids and if they do not win, they can purchase the item for the RRP price, after their total bid costs have been deducted. So they get a standard deal on a product that they need, but they had the opportunity to actually win that product well below the retail price.

The future The future is certainly bright for lowest unique bid websites. Electronic products such as cameras and laptops are rarely discounted. This is an opportunity for people to get these products at low prices. Even if they spend lots of cash on bids, they can still purchase the item at the price listed by the website and receive the bid credit that they originally spent. Everyone is a winner in this case, which is why these websites are becoming more and more popular by the day!

BidGrid are a leading unique bid auction site based in the UK. They have a generous 'Buy It Now' feature which allows you to get all your bids back if you don't win. See how the auctions work here.
