Tips For Preparing Flowering Tea The Best Possible Way

Online Shopping
With its exoticism and its proven health benefits, flowering tea is all the rage today. If you would like to enjoy this experience, there are a few things you should know about the best way to prepare this wonderful tea.

There are different types of flowers that can be used in flowering tea. These include chrysanthemum, marigold, jasmine green tea, hibiscus, amaranth and chamomile among others. Each of these flowers imbues the tea with a distinctly different flavour so having a mix of the different types will allow you to enjoy a different experience every single time.

When trying out a variety of flowering teas, the thing to remember is that each type has its own optimum brewing temperature. When buying any particular type, make sure you find out the temperature requirement before you put it on to brew. Knowing whether it is a black, white or green tea will help you determine the best way to brew the tea for perfect results every time. As a rule of thumb, water boiled to a maximum of 160F is ideal for flowering tea with loose white or green tea whereas for black or oolong leaves, the optimum temperature is around 195 F. using distilled water or pure spring water will ensure that you get the pure taste of the tea without any interference in flavour from any chemicals that may be present in the water.

The kind of container you use plays a huge role in enjoying the experience to the fullest. A clear glass teapot works best. It allows you to see the action from the beginning to the end so you can delight in the visual experience before you even take your first sip. However, some people are reluctant to use a glass teapot for several different reasons. In that case, a good alternative would be a container made from any other material that is transparent and allows you to see the flowering. The only thing you need to be careful of is that the material is capable of withstanding higher temperatures. As with preparing any kind of tea, making flowering tea involves pouring very hot water into the container. If it is not heat resistant it will either melt or crack. You can adjust the strength of the tea by adding more or less tea balls into the boiling water. Many people enjoy adding extra tea balls not just for the stronger flavour but also because they just enjoy the sight of multiple flowers blooming at the same time.

Another way to adjust the strength of the tea is by monitoring the amount of time that you let it steep for. The longer you let it steep, the stronger the tea will be. Usually, the minimum time is 3 minutes for a mild flavoured tea and the maximum time is 5 minutes for a dark, strong flavour.

Talking about tea balls, while this is the more common shape that you will find flowering teas in, it is not the only shape. You can actually find a wide array of designs and shapes to choose from.

Serving Flowering tea is a wonderful way to impress your guests and when you use a Glass teapot , you know your guests will be talking about your prowess as a good hostess for a long time to come. The Exotic Teapot is the best place to find everything you need to brew and serve your flowering tea.
