With a 70 million strong population the Marathi people are among the largest groups united by the languagein India. Though not all Marathi newspapers have hidden agendas, many do which may not be obvious to the common reader. The national dailies cover issues which are far removed from the common man. A good paper will extensively cover local issues with an aim to bring about a positive change while not losing sight of reader interest.
