Nissan created a new system that helps reduce the likelihood of wrong pedal . Called emergency assistance Pedal misapplication of detection function Carpark(catchy, huh?) Technology uses an ingenious version of Around View Monitor to detect if the vehicle is in a place to park. If so, and there is an object, such as other vehicles or walls near the vehicle at the camera automatically control the speed and apply the brakes to avoid a collision if the throttle misuse is detected. Nissan showed similar - and perhaps related - the technology last year, called the elimination Acceleration Pedal misapplication, but Elgrand data for the first production application of the unintended-acceleration-fighting technology. Currently, the technology will debut on an updated version Nissan Elgrand minivan in Japan. We would not be surprised by the system will be in other countries and on other family members soon, including the companys gadget-happy Infiniti line.
