Everyone has a right to educate themselves even if they do not have the monetary backing. Many bright students miss out on completing higher studies due to monetary restraints. College fees are high and many can't afford it. Some bright students may also have to put an end to their education because they have to support their families. A college degree is the minimum requirement one needs to find a job that pays a decent salary. However, due to financial problems many can't even afford to go to college. These unfortunate students have to struggle their way through to get a mediocre job. Many of these students deserve much better things in life but the lack of college education hold them back to the ordinary. Technology now has advanced to a level that may prove advantageous to students who cannot afford to go to regular college. These students can attend an online university which will provide them with education and a college degree at the end of the course. Distance learning has now become acceptable to the world and a degree earned through distance education is as valuable as a degree earned through regular college. These are the reasons why distance learning can prove advantageous to people who could not attend regular college. - Online courses are cost efficient. There is no need for you to go to class or to another country to study. You can study in the comfort of your own home without compromising on your career. Since, the course is online, the study material is sent to you online at a minimal price. Not only do you save on travel, food and lodging but you also save on books and stationary.
- Online courses are designed in such a manner that you can work and study at the same time. You can work during the day and study at night or vice versa. This way, you can earn while you learn.
- These courses also allow you to get a broader perspective of the world as it allows you to meet people from all over the world. You can discuss your queries with them and also get to know people from different religions and ethnicities. You can interact with other students in the student's forum and get to know the world better by sitting at home.
- Distance learning is also a convenient option for those who are physically unwell. These online universities also offer master's degrees for people who want to study more to move ahead in life.
