According to dealers, the benchmarks are moving in a narrow range near the recent highs and if dollar inflows continue, these resistance levels may be taken out as well. At 09:40 a.m.; the 30-share index was at 18,779.92, up 202 points or 1.08 per cent. The index touched a high of 18,813.04 and a low of 18,698.51 in early trade. The Nifty was at 5,714.75, up 65 points or 1.1 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5,715.05 and a low of 5,683.45 in trade today. "The trend deciding levels for the day are 18,623 / 5,661 levels. If indices trade above these levels during the first half-an-hour of trade then we may witness a further rally up to 18,693 - 18,806 / 5,682 - 5,715 levels. The BSE Midcap Index was up 0.57 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.52 per cent higher. All the sectoral indices were in the green. The BSE Metal Index was up 2.2 per cent, the BSE Power Index gained 1.6 per cent, the BSE Auto Index moved 1.7 per cent higher and the BSE Realty Index advanced 1.75 per cent. Investors will keep a close eye on 1QFY13 current account deficit data today. Asian shares continued to move higher higher on hopes that new reforms from Spain might help eurozone. Shanghai Composite was up 1.01 per cent, Hang Seng moved 0.31 per cent higher and Kospi edged 0.22 per cent higher. Japan's Nikkei 225 was down 0.33 per cent. The US markets gained partly due to optimism of further stimulus from China and also on the back of some upbeat US jobs data. The Dow Jones industrial average was up 72.46 points, or 0.54 percent, at 13,485.97. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 13.83 points, or 0.96 percent, at 1,447.15. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 42.90 points, or 1.39 percent, at 3,136.60.
