There are many examples of famous men and women of today and further back in history who have been on the slightly shorter than average size. With this more than average statistic it seems perhaps that some people challenged in height try harder to succeed. Just take a look at the great and sometimes bad leaders of the last century and it seems the more infamous they were the shorter they were. Sometimes it does make you wonder whether they had a chip on their shoulders! Arguably the three worst perpetrators of crime in the twentieth century were Stalin, Hitler and representing the East, Pol Pot. All these dictators were below average height and at least one had some complex about that. Adolf wore built up boots and would frequently make his generals sit whilst he stood over them and barked his increasingly barking mad orders. There has always been a side-line for cobblers to make built up shoes and now this desire for extra height is requested by people of a more normal stature. Most women wear high heels at some time or another if not daily and this has nothing to do with a complex about height as even six foot tall women wear them. A few women do have a problem with being very tall but still want to wear heels and in their case something called kitten heels are useful. These insoles can best be used on loose fitting thick soled trainers and with little obvious clues a person can easily gain another inch if not two. The great thing about these platform shoes is the fact they can be wedge, solid sole crepe or even very high heeled. The other advantage is that despite the fact they are often deliberately chunky in appearance the angle of the foot means the feet will always look small. Any woman with larger than average feet will confess this is the part of her anatomy she most dislikes and open toed sandals are a definite no-go.
