One of the most solid facts that prove exactly how important prom is to most girls is a recent survey conducted amongst more than 5000 young ladies at the age of between 20 and 30. More than 80% of them say that graduation dresses are amongst the most important garments which they have ever worn in their life. Surprisingly, over 15% ladies say that they consider their prom dress more important than their wedding dress. And over 70% of them admit that graduation dresses are in the “Top 3” chart for garments which they will never forget or put out of their wardrobe. But what are the reasons for all that? Perhaps, everything should be looked from a bit more emotional point of view. For most of the ladies, the graduation party is the first formal event when they really feel like ladies or women, not girls! Moreover, girls at the age of 18 are already aware of the importance of their appearance and social behavior. In other words, they know that it is not just enough to keep a socially acceptable behavior but you should also strive to look as beautiful as possible in order to catch the other people’s eyes, especially the guys. And let’s be honest –no matter what a girl says, she always feels flattered when the guys look at her, and smile. You can always read on a guy’s face when he admires your beauty, and that’s one of the most favorite moments for every lady. Another reason why girls find the graduation dresses one of the most important things to prepare before prom is the fact that it is one of the few things that will be kept as a memento for this event. It is all in the pictures, and when people look at the pictures the only thing that they attention to is the overall face features and how the person in the picture is dressed. Surprisingly, not much attention is paid to the accessories or even the hairdo and make-up. Probably, young ladies are smart enough to realize that graduation dresses is the only thing that will be kept physically for life. The haircut will be ruined just a day later. So will be the make-up. No lady is likely to keep her accessories or even the pair of shoes. However, graduation dresses are what will be hanging over the corner of the wardrobe for decades.
