Current Dilemma of Glass Machine Industry
The glass machine industry has encountered unprecedented predicament, such as overcapacity and reduced demand, competition and other. To more than 70% of the total glass production of flat glass, for example, the data shows that the first six months of this year, Chinese enterprises produced a total of flat glass of 370 million weight, drops 3.1%; the inventory is 44.75 million weight, an increase of 26.1% year-on-year; flat glass manufacturing industry losses reach 490 million RMB. The reason why the glass machine industry falls into deep trouble is the internal and external problems: in the country, by the impact of the decline in real estate regulation and macroeconomic growth, two traditional products in the glass industry - flat glass and construction glass market demand by different degree of inhibition; while at abroad, due to the impact of the debt crisis, European solar subsidies all the way down, the EU has launched a "double reverse" survey of the Chinese PV industry, coupled with the U.S. introduction of Chinese solar "double anti findings caused by external demand sharp contraction.
Exports of Glass Machine Reduces
After experiencing nearly a year industry-wide downturn, the prospects for the glass machine industry is still not optimistic. According to the monitoring of Guotai Junan Securities, glass prices still in the doldrums, although the traditional peak season has arrived, but needs improvement is not obvious. The short-term stock rebound, downstream processing enterprises to maintain prudent inventory lower levels. The glass machine industry is in deep trouble, glass machinery business days and certainly not better. Two or three large glass machinery enterprises have closed down this year, and small factories close down or change jobs more numerous. Affected, glass machinery export is not optimistic, in particular, the most widely used glass washing machine, once saw a decline in exports. Many glass machinery companies receive sharp decline in export orders, orders amounted to only a few hundred thousand dollars.
China Glass Machinery Industry Status
Currently, there are thousands of glass machinery enterprises in China, but most of which are SMEs, there is the irrational industrial structure, the industry is concentrated in labor-intensive products to technology-intensive products significantly behind the developed countries, large industrial energy consumption and low output serious environmental pollution, technological innovation capability is weak, and management lags behind and many other issues. Faced with this predicament, first, glass machinery enterprises should strictly implement the national macro-control policy, resolutely shut down energy-saving substandard, low-level redundant construction of production line; Secondly, the increased merger and reorganization efforts to improve the industry concentration; Finally, to encourage independent innovation, strengthening the new mechanical technology research and development efforts, positive transformation and upgrading. The major glass machinery enterprises should increase R & D and production of Low-E glass and its processing equipment, and win the future.
