How to Grip Squash Rackets

Recreation & Leisure
Squash is a high speed sport played by 2 participants or 2 groups of 2 participants each, with an empty rubber ball. It's one of the fastest sports on the planet and therefore is described as “jet-propelled chess”. The previous title of this game was squash rackets, talking about the soft ball applied to it. The pace of the ball, in squash rackets, attains around 100 miles per hour. Because of this tremendous rate, professional squash participants generally have superhuman responses. The key to prepare for an upcoming backhand or forehand shot is the way the racket is gripped and handled.

In playing squash rackets, perfecting the grip would be the hardest and tedious process or part. This is harder if a player is doing squash with an incorrect grip. As soon as the participant is prepared with the proper grip, the next phase is to know and create a basic forehand and backhand shot or drive. The shot strike by a player in the side of his body in which he holds the racket is known as the forehand drive and the one hit from the player’s opposite side of the body's called a backhand drive. A gamer must be up and prepared to hit backhand and forehand drives from every portion of the court.

Along with learning the various shots, it's also equally important to develop the correct grip. Squash rackets players must develop a great grip for good production of strokes. It is best that the player uses similar grip both for backhand and forehand drives. This is due to the tremendous speed of the game doesn't provide plenty of time for grip alteration. Handling the racket is an additional essential method to be learned by the squash rackets participant. Right handling of racket will help the gamer to immediately prepare for shots. This gives the player added time to focus on his shots and also to choose the right place to hit the ball.

The planning being prepared for the forehand drive includes the first preparation of racket, cock wrist, watching the ball, bending elbow, stepping over on the front foot and pointing and dropping the front shoulder towards side wall. To perform the forward swing, move weight to your front foot, fold your lending leg, turn your hips towards side wall and let the ball fall before you make any contact. Various types of drives or shots are played in squash resulting in interesting strategy and games. These shots include cross court, straight drive, volley, boast, lob, drop shot, kill, trickle boast, nick shot, squeeze boast, mizuki, back wall boast and Philadelphia. Squash participants can be categorized into 4 types according to their style of game. Shot players - these participants emphasize on doing shots, Power players - players who build their sport with powerful shots as the base are called power players, Attritional participants - these players get their base of their physical strength and play firm shots and lastly, Retrievers - these participants are great and experienced on covering the court and retrieving the shots.

The best squash rackets will help you enhance your time in playing the game. You just have to know the best deals with regards to it.
