Want to Work As a Virtual Assistant… Are You Serious or Just Plain Curious? The virtual assistance industry has seen the rise of the number of people who wanted to join and try their hands at working online. We know for sure that this won’t just be a fad or a rage, but this is rather the direction the Information Age is taking. While many still pursue traditional jobs and are enjoying the perks and “security” that their careers provide, we cannot deny the fact that many factors have lured many to make the shift. The horrendous traffic situation, cost of daily commute and gas – not to mention parking fees, unreasonable job expectations, horrible bosses, the desire to spend more quality time with the family and the search for that elusive work-life balance have made many tinker with the thought of just staying at home and taking on online jobs. Plus, we see and hear a lot of people say how so and so have found success by being a virtual assistant, and are raking in some real, serious cash. And when you make your own research, you salivate at the thought of earning the same while enjoying all the perks that go with it. Work at your own pace. Work at your own time. Earn big bucks. Now, what can be better than that? But before you hand over your resignation to your boss, pack your stuff at the office and head home and plop yourself in front of your computer and start your work-from-home job – have you really defined that thin line between being simply curious, or really serious about joining the virtual assistance industry? What really separate the serious ones, from those who are simply fishing and looking around? One word, PASSION! Nothing really comes easy. All the hype may make you drool simply at the thought of becoming a virtual assistant. But as always, anything and everything comes with big responsibilities. And in life, that’s simply how it goes. You are simply curious when you just look at the bright side of things. The perks. The rewards. All the advantages that the virtual assistance industry can offer. But as soon as you flip the coin and see the other side, and still decide to make the leap and see all the things that you need to hurdle as a challenge, that’s when you become really serious about things. Nobody likes it hard. That’s a fact. And to become a virtual assistant, you will need to invest a lot of time. You will need to invest good money – for your education, tools, and other resources. And you will need to invest as well building an online presence and making meaningful business relationships. Guess what? As a lot of people would say, you will only value something if you have invested enough, and that investment had made you hurt a little or maybe more. That can never ring truer than in being in this industry. So, you ask yourself, “Do I really want to be a VA?” http://www.virtualassistant.ph/want-to-work-as-a-virtual-assistant-are-you-serious-or-just-plain-curious/
