Summer is all about festivals in the UK and with so many to choose from, music lovers are bound to find something that suits their style and the type of tunes they like to listen to. But festivals are not only about music and for women, it is also about showing off your fashion sense and getting festival chic down to a tee. The problem is, you need to create some create outfits but with a very limited selection of clothes. After all, the last thing you want when you are heading to a festival is to lug a heavy suitcase or backpack around the campsite because you cannot decide which clothes to take with you. Festivals are all about dressing well but doing so with a limited collection of clothes. The best way to do this is to choose a pair of shorts as your staple item and base each outfit around them. Denim shorts are perfect for a festival because they can be worn with almost any kind of top and look just as cool if they get a little bit ripped or dirty. Obviously you don’t want them to be splattered in mud, but a few days’ wear won’t matter a bit with a pair of trusty denim shorts. So what can you wear them with? Crop tops are really popular at the moment and look great with denim shorts, a pair of tough boots and a hoodie in the evenings when it gets colder. Take a normal T-shirt and tie it at your waist if you want to show off your stomach a bit. Pretty much any colour and style goes at a festival and you shouldn’t be afraid to experiment with bright, vibrant and clashing tones. Scruffy T-shirts and vests also look good with denim shorts and you can complete the look with messy festival hair and dark eyeliner. As well as a pair of shorts and several T-shirts, remember to pack a warm jumper and a hoodie ready for the evenings when it can start to get dark. The beauty of denim shorts is that they look just as good with a pair of wellies and a chunky knit as they do a vest. All you need is a rain coat to cover up in case the heavens decide to open and you are all set for some fabulous festival fun – without having to take your entire wardrobe with you. There is loads of festival clothing to be found online if you don’t have time to hit the high street and find your perfect outfit. Playsuits also work well at a festival if you want a change to your denim shorts.
