Once again, Fairways at Savannah Georgia invites you to experience a day of fun and excitement. The Rock & Roll Marathon will happen for the second time on the 3rd of November 2012! Young, old and the not-so-young-or-old can take part, shake a leg or simply enjoy this super fun day. You can have an enjoyable day watching this rock & roll gala and take part to vie for the prizes. The Rock & Roll Marathon at the Fairways at Savannah Quarters promises to be a day that you will enjoy to the fullest. The Rock & Roll Marathon Series is organized by Competitor Group Inc. It is a series of road running events that feature live bands, cheerleaders and themed water stations for all ages. This is a marathon unlike any other. You are not too old to take part in it as you can take part even if you are 80+. You can also provide the estimated finish time according to your abilities and fitness level and age. All you have to do is fill in the entry form with your estimated time of finish and get a racing number and go over to the corresponding corral and mingle with others with the same capabilities as you wait until the marathon begins. If you feel you are fitter than when you entered the marathon, you can always have your corral changed so that you can run for longer. You can also change your time, if you feel you cannot run a full marathon. Anything is possible with the Rock & Roll Marathon and you can be sure you will not be left behind. If you are not taking part in the marathon, you can enjoy yourself anyway. There is so much to see and so much to do; you may feel a day is just not enough to do all this. This is a time for you to see Savannah at its best. The southern charm of Georgia and the ambience of the city, the rock & roll, jazz, country and blues music, the food stalls and much more can be experienced to the fullest on this day. The Rock & Roll Marathon is all about music. You will experience various sounds of music along each mile of the race course. You can witness the prowess of the local high school, middle school; cheer clubs dance teams’ abilities to cheer on thousands of runners as they dance their way through the course in Georgia. In addition, the post-race concert at the finish line can help you celebrate your senior living community members’ accomplishments. Any senior and active adult living in the Fairways at Savannah Quarters has the choice to be an active participant, a volunteer at the organizing committee or simply enjoy the day by being a part of the audience, watching this amazing Rock & Roll Marathon.
