Tips to Safe Travel Uzbekistan

Travel & Tourism
Uzbekistan shares her border with Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kazhakstan and Turkmenistan. It also includes the south of the Aral Sea. The name Uzbek is derived from Turkish words 'uz' and 'bek' meaning good and guardian respectively. The currency of Uzbekistan is called the SUM. The whole area lies approximately 1500 km West to East and 950 Kilometers North to South. Most places are deserted, with some places used for irrigation.

There are quite a few interesting places to visit on travel Uzbekistan. The Tashkent forms the capital city of the country. Tashkent is known for handicrafts, local markets and crockery. Andijan city is the fourth largest city of Uzbekistan. The beautiful Feghana Valley falls in this region. Bukhara is one of the major trading cities in Uzbekistan. This is along the Silk Road. There are more than 140 architectural statues and monuments at this place. Most of them are over 2300 years of age. Another major path in Uzbekistan is the Silk Road which crosses Asia from China to Europe.

Proper visas are required for getting into the country. Citizens from countries like Austria, France , Italy, Belgium , Malaysia , Switzerland and Spain no longer require ‘Letter of Invitation’ to enter the country. Within the first three days of travel Uzbekistan, visitors have to make registrations, which is an agreement with an official statement with proof of stay in Uzbekistan. The travel and immigration process is quite lengthy, but painless. Visitors are asked to declare valuable belongings and money. For travelling to mountains, special permits are needed.

Uzbekistan preserves the architectural heritage as a matter of prestige. You can see huge monuments, chambers, semicircular towers, gates and rows of shops, all extended by military constructions. At the heart of the town, there’s Friday Mosque which is really spacious with a courtyard for prayers. Outside the town, there’s Namazgah, which is an open place for prayers.

Other memorial constructions from 14th century can also be seen. The market buildings are called Charsu. The passages within are referred to as Tim. There are many small domes within the market place. Certain remains of Caravanserais, generally rectangular buildings are also found within the city limits. Places like Samarkand and Bukhara preserve bathhouses from the 16th century.

Some of the interesting things to do in tour Bukhara and travel Uzbekistan are Camel trekking, rafting, skiing and bird watching. ATMs from foreign countries works very rarely here, hence it is advisable to carry enough foreign currency in the form of US dollars while planning to purchase on the tour.

• The nightlife of Uzbekistan is clouded by night clubs and a few restaurants.

• Rates are pretty high even during the day time.

• Traditional food is served at all points.

• Tap water is unsafe to drink in these places. Hence carrying a proper canned mineral water is advisable.

• For safety purpose , travelling across Afghan borders are not recommended

• Respecting the culture, following the standards can make the tour a great time of relaxation.
