Certified Nursing Assistant employments are an entry level nursing jobs. The nursing aide jobs are performed under the guidance of RN, LPN, or LVN in a health care centre or medical unit. CNA services are normally required in nursing homes, healthcare centre, clinics and hospitals. Generally, it is observed that nursing assistants start their career with nursing homes or temporary agency, as big hospitals and established health care settings preferably hire CNAs, who have experience of two or more years. The salary packages are comparatively lower in nursing homes & temporary agency than in other established health care settings. This situation encourages staff to switch after getting 2 or 3 years experience. Thus these employers prefer to hire new graduate CNAs. The scope of a CNA certification depends on state to state and generally CNAs are not allowed to direct any type of prescription, give injections, draw blood, cut toenails, or start IVs. Other basic health care services such as bathing, dressing, checking blood glucose, B.P., and feeding are normally within a CNA's work scope. In comparison to other occupations you can grow faster in nursing profession. Continuous increase in elderly population requires establishing more nursing homes and long term care facilities for long term care. A big number of patients make a pressure on nursing homes and clinics to hire more nursing Staff to deal with suffering people. Tips for CNA employment 1.
