There are several reasons why black dresses must be worn in cold times like in the middle of winter. The colour black has the property of absorbing energy. This is the exact reason why it is black, because it absorbs all light (which is a form of energy) cast onto it. The same applies with heat, which is also a form of energy; it is absorbed by the material insulation the body. The insulation provided by black dresses keep heat trapped in the body reducing the amount that is lost every moment. Using a white or light coloured dress however may reflect energy. The heat is not diffused out of the body leaving the woman cold. The colour of the clothing plays a major role in the comfort levels of a woman in cold conditions. The weather influences our lives in several ways, there can be events like outdoor sports cancelled due to bad weather, and others affected like when in a wedding the bridegroom fails to appear. There are situations where people have died due to extreme weather in conditions like floods. In modern times however, we cannot wait for the right time to do our work, we have to adopt our work according to the weather. The same applies with attire which must be worn according to weather. Woolly material must be worn in winter and cotton based clothing in summer. Black dresses in chilly times and white dresses in hot times. In summer also the colour of the dress worn by the woman again is important. A black coloured dress worn in the middle of summer will not only trap the body heat of the woman but also absorb the heat of the sun. This rapidly increases the temperature of the woman making her feel sweaty and very uncomfortable. In these situations, she must wear a white dress which keeps out the heat of the sun and lets out the heat of the body. In winter wearing only black dresses may not be suitable as then it gives a negative perception of the woman. Wearing black always may associate a person with evil, so it must be used only in selected situations so the impression made is not negative but a strong positive one, representing elegance and authority. A person always wearing black is said to be someone that is trying to hide from someone. This is not very applicable in the case of winter, since surrounded by white snow, women wearing black dresses are not going to be hidden but highlighted.
