Simple colours unlike Black dresses are usually used to represent calm and quiet personalities and serene environments. They are used to show that a person is plain and honest and that he or she is not hiding anything from anyone. It also shows trustworthiness and other traits which talk about a peaceful person who will not do harm to anyone in particular. They are casual colours which people wear for everyday purposes, and hence do not portray a strong veiled meaning. Black dresses will also make a person mix in a crowd especially in an evening function, and can also be used if the person wants to go unnoticed. In a crowd of non-aristocratic people it makes a person stand out from the rest, elevated in class. A person wearing pink will not make a strong impression on others. It will only make them feel the same as the rest, an average person. It is the darkness in black, which brings out the sought out characteristics unsuspectingly… the characteristics of elegance, style, and authority.
