Prior to leading Apple Industries Inc., Warren Friss first served as the General Manager of the sports and entertainment department at The Topps Company starting from 2006 up until 2011. Throughout those years, Friss has had an impressive career which has garnered him fame and cemented him in the memory of a large number of people. Some of his main responsibilities were in strategic planning, product development, financing, marketing, and licensing. He simply loves to discover new items that surely sports fans would like to have. Of course, he backed himself with a highly talented team that can help him through the process of making another project. During his stay at Topps, the company has launched several marketing plans including the Topps Baseball and Series 1, and Topps Attax. He is committed to meeting every appointment and negotiations he had with the leagues and player’s associations just to promote new deals and projects. Warren Friss believes in the heritage of the company. Topps will always be in the business and a symbol in the collectible industry, particularly baseball cards. Every product is going to represent some thing to a person five years or ten years from now. Those baseball cards will always be there. With that, the company assures each of their customers that they are going to have the best product. The company understands that most of the consumers are baseball card collectors, people who put so much love into card collecting and give a great deal of care to each collector’s item. According to Warren Friss, there has been a great amount of changes when it comes to card collecting and the company is dedicated to meeting every demand of the customers. Topps’ biggest clients are kids which have led to the company striving to create products that will involve kids in the regular Topps base product. For instance, Topps Attax is a fairly simple card game which is based on a product popular in Europe called Match Attax. This kind of card game is similar to how Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh are being played. Warren Friss has been instrumental in the success of Topps Company through the years. Although he chose to have another career in a different company, his legacy in Topps will always set the standards and the trends in the card collectible industry. People of all ages can indefinitely have something to look forward to in the years to come.
