Whether you choose classic steak or you try something different such as an avant-garde steak, the choice of the right recipes will enhance the delicacy and flavor of any steak or beef cut. There are different ways of preparing steak, ranging from frying, broiling and grilling. The following quick and easy recipes for steak will increase your repertoire beyond the usual basics of meat and potatoes. They will give you a different taste of home that will transform your steak from being good to being great.

Steak au Poivre

Poivre means pepper in French. Pepper is thus the main flavoring of this elegant French steak dish. To prepare it, you need to make the proper choice of beef cut and prepare it as you usually do. After the meat is cooked you need to cover it with foil so that it can rest while you prepare the pepper sauce. Crush whole black peppercorns (2 tablespoonfuls) and green peppercorns (1 teaspoonful) in a mortar and pestle or grinder. Dice a shallot and then sauté it in butter; then add the already crushed spice to the butter and shallot mixture. Cook on medium heat for 4 or 5 minutes, or until the shallot is tender; then add heavy cream (1 cup) and salt. Reduce the sauce so that it turns brown. Serve the steak with the sauce poured over it.

Herbed Butter Steak

Herbed Butter Steak is another easy steak recipe. To prepare it, you just need to cook your favorite steak the way you normally do, then add herbed butter before serving. To prepare the herbed butter, you need to mix butter with smoked paprika, dill, minced garlic, chives, chopped parsley and any other flavors that you would want to include in the steak dish.

Korean Bulgogi Steak

Bulgogi is a delicious traditional Korean dish. To prepare it, you need to combine soy sauce (½ cup), dark sesame oil (1 tablespoonful), minced garlic (3 cloves), grated fresh ginger (½ teaspoonful) and green onions (chopped) to taste. Add toasted sesame seeds (1 or 2 tablespoonfuls) and red pepper flakes. Leave the mixture for 4 to 6 hours, or overnight, so the steaks can marinate before you cook them.

Cajun Steak

This is one of the easiest steak recipes. To prepare it, you need 1 pound each of Velveta cheese, sausage and hamburger meat. You also need 1 medium size onion. To prepare it, simply brown the hamburger, onions and sausage in a skillet. Drain it, and then mix the Velveta cheese into the meat. You can serve it on a hamburger bun.
