Making a basic flash game is easy and fun. It can be small enough for even little children to play or as large as a jigsaw puzzle to challenge adults' memory skills. It can be played several ways. Below are the steps to take to make a game. Step1. Launch the Flash Application. Open a new document and choose "Templates" and "Quiz" in the drop down menu. A new Untitled-1 flash quiz will open with preset actions and several layers. Quiz options will appear to the left of the document. Create a folder on your desktop, and name the folder. Save the flash document to the folder and give it a name also. Create inside the same folder another folder for images. Step2. Open the Component Inspector by choosing "Window," "Development Panel" and then "Component Inspector." The Component Inspectors will drop down from the menu. Highlight the quiz options on the new document for each parameter to be displayed in the components inspector panel. Change the answers and questions by clicking object on the stage. Right click and zoom the components and they will enlarge. Click on the title layer in the timeline and unlock it, rename the title the name you choose for your quiz, then relock the title layer. Keep the action keyframe locked, unless you are an experienced action script editor. Save your test often so changes will not be lost if the application should crash. Step3. Drag any images that are going to be used into the folder created earlier and import the images into the flash library for your test. Work in the library panel to manipulate the images by selecting the objects and choosing to edit them in a new window. Do not rename the objects or movie clips, simply drag the new images to the object chosen to edit. Navigate to each keyframe to see and input different questions and answers to the test, highlighting the new instruction panel in each keyframe to expose the component inspector options and settings. Step4. Change the background color of the test in the parameter box by selecting the background color. The flash test will display your images. Choose the setting to track the test and keep score within the component inspector. More instructions will appear to the left of the document, giving detailed information to setting to each parameters of the questions and answers on the test.
