Popular TV host Christos Nezos (MEGA TV, Greece) once again (first time it was in 2010) took a very talented and popular young Greek singer Nikos Economopoulos to the Easter 2012 television trip. At this time Nikos was invited to introduce the songs from his new and already double platinum album "I'll be here", which was an excellent choice to illustrate the beauty of Cyprus, this fabulous island of love. The broadcaster and the singer started their journey with the topic about this island and an observation of its capital - Nicosia. Nikos said that Cyprus is like a second home for him, here he was eight times doing his performances, he is happy that people in Cyprus are so fond of Greek music and Greek singers. They even come to Greece especially for his concerts. When talking about the existing problem of the division of the island, Nikos Economopoulos said he wants to see Cyprus independent, but he does not believe that Turkish people are guilty in the current situation, it is the politicians to blame. The picturesque places of Nicosia, in particular, the Old Town, are shown in the programme, accompanied by the song "So what happened" / "Kai ti egine" (music and lyrics by Phoebus). The next point to travel was chosen to be the fourth largest city of Cyprus, which is Paphos. Here, amid the ancient fortress and the legendary Rock of Aphrodite Nikos sings "I'll be here" (Tha eimai edo), on the music by Giorgos Sabanis and words by Eleni Giannatsulia. Divinely beautiful singer's voice blends perfectly with the charm of these places. Here, of course, Christos Nezos did not miss an opportunity to retell the spicy story of the birth of Aphrodite which made Nikos laugh. Another song by the same authors, "Pou tha me pass", was to create a musical background for the scenery of Cyprus. The beauty of this pastoral ballade highlights the idyllic views of the nature. After the mountain riding, which Nikos called "the safari", we find ourselves together with the singer and the host in the picturesque village of Omodos, located at the foot of the Troodos ridge. Here we can see the Monastery of "Stavros" (St. Cross) as well as the winery Linos. Hiding away in the courtyard of the monastery, Nikos tells us about how he was working with his latest album and about his other albums, some of which are "gold" and many times "platinum." Nikos thanks songwriters and his own fans for all these successes. On the question of Nezos, what it is more important for his choice of songs: words or music, Nikos said that despite the contemporary tendency to put first the music, he believes that words are no less important. Warming the soul "With all my heart I forgive" (Kali Kardia) on the music by Christodoulos Siganos and words by the same author and Valentino becomes filled with the special meaning within the walls of this abode. The amphitheatre in the ancient city of Kourion, which is situated in the outskirts of Limassol, becomes a place of the discussion between Nikos and Christos Nezos about the fate of traditional song Laika, as well as the stage for presenting the song "We are lost" (Chanomaste),on the music by Alekos Chrisovergis and words by Spiros Giatras. Nikos with his harmonious combination of the voice and physical appearance looks very organic against the backdrop of the amphitheatre, as the living embodiment of the ancient ideal. The Golf Course, located in the recreation area of the Intercontinental Hotel Aphrodite Hills (near Paphos) was chosen not only for an interesting conversation with Nikos about his personal sympathies and relations with people, but also to show the song "Look For Me" (Psakse me), on the music by Vasilis Daramuskas and words by Vangelis Karatzanos The choice of this song is not accidental, as in a conversation Nikos told us about his dislike to publicity where it concerns his private life. Although in general it is no secret that he would very much like to build a family, and dreams about it. During the same conversation Nikos replied to a question by Nezos, why such a big singer as Giannis Parios calls him his son. Nikos answered by expressing once again his love to this great artist and modestly suggesting that, apparently, Parios appreciates his sincere devotion to the song. Performance of the song on the background of the charming evergreen fields of Aphrodite Hills put an end to the fascinating journey that has become a real Easter gift for the audience.
