Success of a bartering system depends on desires, requirements and preferences of the parties involved. Timing is another significant aspect which determines the success of a barter system. The network can be customized according to your requirements like the type of goods/ services to be traded, if a wish list of people are to be formed or not , if trade credit can be acceptable and likewise. Such barter scripts lets users to list the items for exchange and adding features to the goods and the site owner can charge the consumers for these actions at his discretion. A well-organized administration process has to be implemented to have accurate calculations and provisioning of such a complex system. Open source barter software let the user or the administrator to bring about changes to the system without affecting normal functioning.
