When bed time comes after a long day, don’t you love climbing into a warm cozy bed with a quality comfortable mattress and a soft pillow to put our heads on? If you didn’t sleep on that comfortable mattress, how would your body feel getting out of the bed the next day? I know mine would be pretty stiff and sore. If your dog doesn’t have a quality mattress to sleep on, shame on you. Where does he sleep, does he sleep on the cold floor, tile or outside on the concrete? If he is, you are putting your dog at risk of sore muscles, joints and the possibility of arthritis. If you have you provided your best buddy with a quality, well padded bed to fill all of his hours of sleep, you are taking the right measures to help keep your pup healthier. He is not able to tell you himself that gee, "this tile is sure cold or sleeping on the concrete sure makes it hard for me to get my body up in the morning". He relies on you, his owner to take care of him. Here are some benefits that a quality pet bed offers your dog The bed provides your dog with his own space and sense of security. They cushion bones and joints, especially senior dogs who may already have arthritis, or even be overweight. Beds may help prevent injuries, by discouraging your dog from jumping on and off of your bed or couches. Our outside pets need a quality bed even more, to keep them up off of the ground or damp dirt. One of the best reasons, is keeping your dogs muscles and joints healthy, you will give him a better chance of a quality life as he ages. Our pets sleep anywhere from 14-16 hours per day, they need to have the proper comfort when they sleep. Be sure when you do get your pet a quality bed, that you measure the length of your dog from head to toe and add at least 2” on each side.
