This year’s APPEA Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held in Adelaide, South Australia, May 13-16, 2012. Over 2,700 delegates are expected to come for this premier yearly oil and gas event in the Southern Hemisphere. So what is going to happen? What are the things you have to learn about the petroleum industry? Is this industry part of your business? There are many questions in the oil and gas industry and in this event, everything shall be answered. Aside from that, if your team needs to understand oil and gas terminology and you would like to appreciate the technical, safety and environmental challenges of the oil and gas sector, APPEA recommends “An Introduction to the Petroleum Industry Seminar” for an excellent overview of the industry. These seminars are designed for people wishing to gain a brand understanding of the petroleum industry. Topics cover the whole petroleum story and are delivered by industry experts in an interactive and informative manner. All participants receive a CD-ROM of the PowerPoint presentations. This is for everyone--teachers, administrators, office, managers, financial institutions, marketing engineers, human resources, graduates. The In-House Introduction to Petroleum Seminars have long been recognized as a popular and effective way for participants to gain a basic understanding of the oil and gas industry. APPEA is now able to offer this service adapted to suit every organization's specific requirements. The benefits of customized Introduction to the Petroleum Industry seminars include: in-house venue, ensuring convenience, privacy and cost-saving on external; venue and catering; a focus on aspects of the industry tailored to both the company’s business plans and employee’s specific learning needs; and, the knowledge that the seminar is endorsed by Australia’s peak oil and gas industry association and facilitated by Energy Industry Integrated Solutions (EIIS). The following costs are for customized, in-house Introduction to Petroleum seminars provided this year. Based on 25 or more participants, with the host company/organization providing the venue and catering, the registration fee would be: $290 per head plus GST ($319) for APPEA member companies/organization; or $340 plus GST ($374) for Government department/Agency and non-APPEA company/organizations. EIIS would cover the cost of flights and accommodation costs for presenter(s). Based on less than 25 participants, on the other hand, the above per head rates would be increased based on an agreed escalation formula. The host company/organization would cover flights and accommodation costs for one EIIS presenter. All participants receive a printout of all PowerPoint slides plus an APPEA Certificate of Participation. The host organization is provided with an analysis of the participant feedback sheets. EIIS provides its own data projection equipment for the event. It is also important to remember that the final costs per delegate can also differ depending on the level of customization required in the preparation and presentation of the seminar.
