Rather than replacing the hard wood furniture in your bedroom then consider re-vamping it. Sand it down to its natural colour and re-varnish it. Then replace the handles. This will give it a new feel. Another way to re-vamp your room is to de-clutter. Just take everything from the drawers and wardrobe. Rule of thumb I that is you haven’t worn an item of clothing in the last 12 months then you’ll probably never wear it again. You could even make some money by trading your old clothes in as rags. Bedspreads and quilts are a great way to add an element of glam to your room. You can go for materials that look expensive and luxurious but don’t cost the earth. Why not make your own wall décor. Splash your chosen paint colours onto a wall canvass and create some abstract art for yourself. It doesn’t have to be neat but it’s a great way to bring all of the colours in your room together. If you are looking to create a romantic room then consider different forms of luxury lighting. Have you ever considered hanging fairy lights in around your bed posts or even just casually placed on your dressing table. Get rid of all the little bits and bobs that don’t need to be in your bedroom. You’ll probably be surprised at what you find, although this can become difficult for a sentimental heart.
