The Inspiron series of laptops from Dell is popular all over the world. According to the company’s description, the Inspiron series is in the budget and entry level category. The Dell Inspiron 15 and the 15R are very similar but still have some differences. As the names of the two laptop brands indicate, they both have a screen size of 15 inches. To be exact, they both have a screen of 15.6 inches. One of the differences between the Dell 15 and the 15R is the processor. The Dell 15 has a Dual Core T4500 processor which operates at a speed of 2.3 GHz. The Dell 15R has a Core i3 380M processor which operates at a speed of 2.53 GHz. The Core i3 380M of the Dell 15R is better and more superior compared to the Dual Core T4500 of the Dell 15, which means it has a higher speed and reduced generation of heat. The difference in the processors of the two Dell brands also lies in the computing capabilities. The Dual Core T4500 of the Dell 15 has a pass mark score of 1551, while the Core i3 380M of the Dell 15R has a pass mark score of 2334. Another difference between these two Dell brands is that there have been a few minor updates to the 15R. Although they may not have an effect on improving the general performance, they add to the general positive experience and usability. The first improvement is the increment in the camera resolution. While the Dell 15 has a camera resolution of 0.3 megapixels, the Dell 15R has a camera resolution of 1.3 megapixels. Although the 1.3-megapixel camera of the Dell 15R may not be capable of taking excellent photos, it will give you a clear picture when you are chatting through videos. The Dell 15R has a HDMI port which is lacking in the Dell 15. This means that the Dell Inspiron 15R can be connected to a PC monitor, high definition television (HDTV) and other devices that are capable of streaming content in high definition. This means that the Dell 15R may be transformed into HD and the contents displayed on larger areas, such as a TV or larger computer PC monitor screen. This is not possible with the Dell 15 because it has no HDMI port. Lastly, the Dell 15R is a few grams lighter than the Dell 15. While the Dell 15R weighs 5.83 lbs, the Dell 15 weighs 6.02 lbs.
