The U.S Department of Justice Report on Alcohol and Crime did their research, and they came to a conclusion that the abuse of alcohol has led to the forty percent of the crimes in which are committed in the country. This is a figure that may be similar to some countries where alcohol abuse is growing rampantly. The taking of alcohol one is not able to neither have control over their emotions, nor there will and do whatever they feel like. When one is attacking, for instance, an old man, the attacker who is an alcoholic may be having the father in mind that might have mistreated him and abused him when he was young. Therefore, for him, he is realising the pain and the stress and seeing as if that is the father. The pain is clearly being displayed in the violent crime. Without the alcoholic realizing it, they may end up killing the person. When the individual is sober, they are not acting when they say they do not remember what happened.
