There are numerous documentaries on the market its difficult to narrow them right down to 20 and there are new ones revealed all time. For the very first time ever we're watching high quality footage while the conflict still continues. Hopefully for peace's sake it usually end soon however in the meantime I'm sure there usually be many others conflict documentaries revealed which receive you actually nearer to the action. One certain documentary which has been revealed newly is Restrepo. This is the 1st Afghanistan War Documentary to acquire huge amounts of exposure and its wise to find there is enough of an interest on the market. Although us civilians cannot truly realise conflict is like, as a result of documentaries like Restrepo we're bridging the gap a little. Restrepo was filmed in 2007 in the mountainous area of the Korengal Valley and was considered the most risky posting in themartial. Bordering Pakistan, Mujahedeen fighters were not in a word supply. Men posted to the Korengal outpost 'The KOP' were in interested in firefights daily, and were liable for 70% of air ordnance used throughout Afghanistan in 2007. CNN dubbed the Korengal 'the deadliest destination about earth.' Their task was to supply protection presence in the region to ensure that a path could be built connecting surrounding towns. An attempt at stimulating the area economy and to win the minds and minds of the people. Restrepo is a feature length documentary that enables you to plunge yourself in the Korengal as much as an outsider could, and provides you a lot of time to commence learn the characters of Second Platoon. As you can easily imagine, the film is filled full of action. From an IED blast to A-10 gun runs it has it all. It has a stunning blend of action, silent instances about the OP, temper and sombre fact. It doesn't overwhelm you with emotion, or overstimulate you with action. Restrepo is a ride any conflict documentary enthusiast must experience. If I had to give my own own top 5 I might have to include: Taking about the Taliban, Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, Bravos Deadly Mission, Armadillo and Restrepo. I found these Afghanistan conflict documentaries at http://wardocumentaryfilms.com. It offers an awesome archive of films. There is at the least 55 Afghanistan conflict documentaries but inaddition it has the Vietnam War, Iraq War, World War 2, World War 1, Korea, the American Civil War, movie about martial training, survival skills, and aviation Hopefully for peace's sake it will end shortly however, in the interim I'm sure there will be many others conflict documentaries introduced which receive us even closer to the action.
