Those who fall for such scams are always those who are looking for something for nothing or something very cheap and they always want sympathy. Yet they would have been quite happy to cheat the other person if it had worked out. For example, I know a lady who goes to lots of fortune tellers wanting free readings. She expects them to sit there with her for hours talking to her about her romance and her children and her health and get nothing in return. It never occurs to this mean and selfish lady that this is not fair to the fortune tellers. But eventually after visiting loads of them and getting rubbish readings she came across a con artist. Anyone who is any good would have to charge purely to stop timewasters from taking up all of their time. But a professional has to charge properly to cover their cots as well as to pay their bills.
