It is best to shop around to get the best deal available. Most car servicing prices start at £80 and go up to approximately £225 but there are different levels of car servicing available. Levels of Car Servicing There are generally three types of car services available. 1. Oil Change Service - this is generally carried out between full services - particularly for high mileage vehicles. An oil service includes (a) oil and oil filter and change (b) tyre, battery, wiper and lights checks (c) top up of necessary fluids such as brake fluid, windscreen washer fluid and power steering fluid. 2. Interim car service - an interim car service should be carried out every 6 thousand miles or 6 months, whichever is sooner, this ensures that your car is safe. 3. Full car service - a full car service should be carried out every 12 months or 12000 miles, whichever is sooner to ensure that your car is maintained and safe to drive.
