Travel & Tourism
caravan holiday home at a site inside the national park. The biggest attraction is Mount Snowdonia which can either be climbed or enjoyed in comfort by using the Snowdonia mountain railway. Beddgelert caravan park is on of the most popular in the area and prices start from only £16.50 per pitch per night, this also reduces costs as the price is per pitch and not per person.

4) Barcelona, Spain: Barcelona is ideal for families seeking short breaks of 3 or 4 nights as short flight times and the proximity of the majority of major attractions to the city centre mean little travelling time for visitors. Transport in the city is excellent and inexpensive as a T-10 ticket allows you to make 10 journeys on the reliable and punctual metro or buses over an unlimited period. Attractions such as the Zoo, the Sagrada Familia and Parc Guelle are all nearby to metro stations meaning that families can visit a number of sites and undertake multiple activities each day. With low cost flights available from Ryanair and EasyJet and multiple budget hotels and hostels in the city centre this is ideal for families on a tight budget.

5) Disneyland Paris, France: An Easter break that can be enjoyed by those young and old, the 2 parks at the resort in Paris have a vast array of rides and attractions for both adults and children and therefore Disneyland is ideal for families. With Eurostar trains running directly to the park at the Chessy Marne la Vallée station, travel is hassle free and also less expensive than the cost of flying. Disney structure their prices with families in mind and currently have a range of offers available to families, including free nights, 40% reductions in hotel and park entry prices and benefits for children under 12. ">The Easter holidays are only a month away yet many have families are yet to book a short break or vacation, budgetary constraints are the key reason for this but here are 5 suggestions that won't break the bank.

1) Algarve, Portugal: After the recent bout of poor weather many Easter holidaymakers will be seeking seeking warmer weather and with average temperatures of 20 degrees and 9 hours of sunshine each day during April, the Algarve certainly fits the bill. Being the southernmost region of mainland Portugal not only does the Algarve experience the best weather in the country, but the coastal region also hosts some of the best beaches that the Portugal has to offer. With a water park, quad biking and an aquarium among its many attractions the Algarve offers entertainment for both children and adults hence its appeal to families. Self catering holidays to the Algarve departing on March 31st are availble for only £270 per person for 7 nights at lastminute.com and lowcostholidays.com.

2) Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt: The popular Egyptian resort is the perfect destination for families with a greater budget and seeking even better weather, average April temperatures of between 25 and 30 degrees and the fact that it experiences only one day of rainfall throughout the month guarantee warm weather and sunshine. A common misconception for the resort is the flight times from the UK, however on average flights from the UK to Sharm el-Sheikh take between 5 and 6 hours and this will not hamper the enjoyment of families taking a break of a week or more. Sharm el-Sheikh offers a range of activities and excursions such as snorkelling and boat trips from its many stunning beaches, one hour flights to Cairo and trips to Mount Sinai. The Sinai region where Sharm is based is actually part of Asia and therefore offers an exciting blend of African and Asian culture. A week in Sharm el-Sheikh for 2 adults and 2 children will cost less than £2000 for the entire family with First Choice.

3) Snowdonia, Wales: A domestic holiday is the best option for those taking short breaks and those on a small budget, the cost of flights can be eliminated and there is little hassle in terms of currency and dining. The picturesque Snowdonia national park showcases the spectacular natural sceneries that Wales has to offer, including forests, mountain ranges, rivers and nature walks within its boundaries. The best way to experience the nature on offer is also to stay within the park and this involves camping or staying in a caravan holiday home at a site inside the national park.
