This village on Mount Kilimanjaro is not a tourist. This is your hardened traveler. Someone who wants to see the commercialization of untouched, unspoilt and clean, a place that has magic and something to share. Tourism is, by definition, tend to rush from one place to another is not really experiencing anything not see anything. One destination, disappearing into another, everything seemed the same, yesterday as today will be like tomorrow. This is a village in northern Tanzania is the place where you have to go into community life experience. No safari vehicle here. Only half of the northern part of Tanzania in Moshi town an hour, this is a special place for coffee and bananas are grown to sustain life. People here are poor and life is difficult. We, as visitors can never assess how hard that life can be. The best way to achieve this local bus from Moshi town center. As you complete your way to this rather unfashionable side of Mount Kilimanjaro Vibration bus every inch the way, when up, you will notice how green and fertile environment has become. Everything that grows here in this fertile land. It rains often on the mountain scenery and the green is a sharp contrast to the dusty town left Moshi brown. When the bus finally give up the journey begins from 15 to 20 minute walk to the top. There are some spectacular views Moshi town glimpsed through the trees, far away below. It is cooler here and so very quiet. I love to visit this place where there are no tourists at all. Everyone is very friendly, and you really feel you are experiencing something special, something that not many tourists get to see. There are still some large traditional houses here are made of dried banana leaves - no windows, only one door in the roof and chimney in the center. It is hard to accept all of Africa's mountains are just so very special. Be careful to look where you are going and where you stand, the great ant the line crosses the road and accidentally stood on one of these lines - ants [large ants] will climb up your legs and start chewing. This village is an ideal place to spend the day with a local family, and even sleep at night. This is a cultural tour cultural experiences, rather than the pseudo-Cultural Tours offers many tour operators. If you have time to add a week or two [or more] of your safari and spend time jobs clinic - a new addition to the village - or the local elementary school. To do this, you do something to the village, they will learn from you, as you will learn from them. You will learn much about yourself as you spend time in this culture Haggi high above the bustling city below. If you want to see and experience the African culture, this village is an ideal location.
