Do You Really Need "Cardiovascular" Exercises?

Fitness,Health,Self Improvement
Do you actually need cardio training for getting lean and in great shape? By the way, you will see in just a moment that I'm not necessarily "anti-cardio", only "anti classic cardiovascular exercise".

The majority of wellness and fitness enthusiasts, weekend warriors, or any person working to get fit and slim or remove body weight, consider it a fact that they will really need "cardio" physical exercise to carry out those ambitions. These people would never even question it.

Having said that, I am not only questioning this, I'm going to oppose it! Actually, you're likely to be surprised to discover that a lot of the leanest and meanest people I know Never ever undertake any sort of typical or classic cardio. Not to mention I've truly spent more than fifteen years training in several gyms, and spending time with sports athletes of all types, so I've seen it all.

I'm going to declare that there may be a place for low-moderate levels cardio for extremely over weight men and women, but even in those cases, there can be more effective methods.

But what exactly is "cardio"?

Most people would likely consider cardiovascular exercises as being pumping away mindlessly on a treadmill, riding a stationary exercise bike, or coasting on an elliptical trainer, and watching the TV screen at their condition of the art gym. And this is what I refer to as "traditional cardiovascular exercises". Well, it's no wonder that many individuals lose interest with their physical exercises and quit after a few months without ever experiencing benefits.

But if you look much closer, "cardio" physical exercise can be considered virtually any exercise or activities that tones up the cardiovascular system. I'm not really going to get straight into anything technical much like improving your VO2 max or anything like this. In order to keep it straightforward, if it can get your heart pumpin, and gets you huffin and puffin, it is actually cardio workout. I don't really care if you are carrying hand weights or even a barbell and everybody names it a weight training workout...it is still conditioning your heart.

Let's take a short look at a few examples. Please take a barbell (or dumbbell, or kettlebell) clean & press for instance, which involves raising a barbell from the ground up to shoulders, and then push pressing overhead. And also pay attention women of all ages, because even though this is generally seen being a masculine exercise, no matter if you're not raising 250 lbs; if 45 lbs is difficult to you, then you'll definitely still benefit equally as much.

At first glance, a lot of people consider the barbell C&P just as a resistance training exercise or power exercising. Even so, I encourage you to execute a tough set of around 10-15 repetitions within the C&P. In case you utilized a difficult enough load, what you will see is your heart rate is most likely as much as around 80-90% of the advisable max, and you're huffing and puffing as if you just ran a 100-meter race (which also, sprinting kicks the crap out of jogging any day if you want the easiest way of burning the fat).

Try out the same thing for a group of 20 reps of one-arm snatches or swings with each arm with a kettlebell or dumbbell, and tell me your hip and legs aren't burning up, heart racing, and you are also gasping for oxygen. Consider trying out 5 min straight of body-weight leg squats, lunges, and push-ups with hardly any rest. Again, observe your heart pounding, perspiration flowing off of you, and bust heaving for breathing! Now you have an effective approach on how to get six pack abs and strengthen your body and cardiovascular system.

Try to tell me you are not strengthening your cardiovascular system with this particular style of training! Old fashioned mindset states that these are usually weight training or strength training exercise routines. Yet, they are satisfying your cardiovascular training requirements also helping you save time!.

Not only do you save time, but you improve and condition each and every muscle tissue in your overall body using these complete exercise routines if you are doing them with sufficient intensity...a thing that can not be stated to the unexciting stationary bike ride or even treadmill machine jaunt while studying or watching television.

Reading or watching TV when you train is a joke!

Seriously, if you can read or watch television while carrying out any exercise, you aren't focusing enough on whatever you're working on, plus you are most probably not working out hard enough to see any real good results.

I challenge you to give the "conventional cardiovascular exercise" a rest for one month or two, and begin training the proper way and discover how you would start to get slimmer, much more toned, and your six-pack beginning to show through what used to be stubborn stomach fat stores.
