I recently had the pleasure of paying a visit to Villa M Umalas Bali. My visit to Villa M came at the invitation of the villa owner, a charming lady who understands Bali traditions as well as style and elegance, all of which is so apparent in the furnishings and finishes of this luxurious villa collection. I knew what to expect as this was my second visit to Villa M, so an invitation was more than welcome, every so often I get the chance to visit a villa which is I guess, in line with my own style and taste a villa that fits my likes and needs. I am perhaps pernickety in my likes and dislike, but I am always looking for a fundamental requirement and that is a haven to relax in, I know too well the rigors of today’s world. When looking for a villa I always look at the location, furnishings, antiques, object de’s art all the way through to design and layout, in short for a compendium of touchy feely objects that form the ambiance of a perfect luxury villa holiday, objects that bring the living areas into life as an environment which is conducive to relax and to recuperate within. Luxury Villa M - a perfect 4 bedroom holiday Villa The Luxury Villa M is a collection of two luxury Villas, the first being a one bedroom villa and the second a four bedroom Villa. These two luxury Villas are joined together by a central lobby area, the lobby has all the amenities and services that you would expect from an exclusive boutique hotel. The lobby is where the staff are eager to assist you during your stay, to organise transport, restaurants and give specific or general guidance. The staff are of course very discreet and unobtrusive, they are trained to ensure that your stay is as relaxing as possible giving you time to unwind from the rigors of today’s world. The location of these two stunning luxury Villas is in Bali's picturesque area of Umalas. Umalas is relatively unspoilt, as it still retains a considerable plantation of rice fields. Rice fields make for a perfect villa backdrop as they emit different hues of lush greens as they progress through their various stages of growth. Luxury Villa M is very fortunate to have not only the added bonus of a perfect view across the plantation, which you normally only see from the Villas along the suburbs of Ubud, central Bali, but also it is local to the sea and beaches which are so perfect for this part of Bali. Umalas is centrally located between Seminyak and Canggu, which brings into reach the exclusive restaurants of Seminyak such as the Ku De Ta, also the boutiques of this famed part of Bali. Luxury Villa M -room with such a great view The luxury villas are no exception when it comes to open living, a style of living which Bali is famous for. The living areas are designed as open pavilions fronting onto an ample sized glistening pool. The bedrooms are of course enclosed but have good size sliding doors that bring the outside in. All of the living areas are blessed with such stunning views across the rice fields of Bali. The bathrooms are simply put gorgeous in their design and in their finish. Most of the bathrooms are able to open onto a small garden area, giving the feeling of alfresco bathing, another of Bali’s ancient traditions of bathing under the stars, so it is no surprise that such a beautiful arrangement has been incorporated into this oasis here in the picturesque part of Umalas Bali. Luxury Villa M - Indoor and outdoor living There is so much to say about Villa M that can only add to its splendour and will make a stay here so enjoyable. The finish of this Villa has been done without a concern for the cost as all of the fixtures are of excellent quality, bathrooms from Kohler, Terrazo bath tubs etc. If all of this was not enough the luxury villa is situated on the west side of Bali, as Bali is famous for its sunsets then you will be embroiled in a spectacle come dusk of every evening. I strongly recommend a cocktail to be on hand as you savour this romantic restful time of the day, transitioning from the casual elegance of the day to the fine dining experience of the evening .
