As the name suggests, Newport Beach is a coastal community in southern California located north of San Diego and south of Los Angeles. Other annual events include a sandcastle competition in October and an international yacht race to Ensenada in April. Visitors have a wide range of dining options with the freshest seafood around found at the restaurants on McFadden Wharf and Balboa Pier.
