A Majestic Stay In The Lovely Cotswolds

Travel & Tourism
The Cotswolds are made up of sprawling hills found in West Central England. It lies mainly in the counties of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire and also within portions of Somerset, Warwickshire, Wiltshire, and Worcestershire. Here, the highest point is Cleeve Hill.

Also known as the “Heart of England” because of the majestic scenery in every changing season. Here, tourists come and go to be continually amaze by the area’s outstanding natural beauty most especially in winter time. Other than its landscape and picture perfect panorama, visitors enjoy the tranquillity. It is nice and calming indeed to hear birds chirping and the wind blowing the trees. Nothing beats Mother Nature.

Cotswolds hotels and inns are readily accessible from all over the area. With amenities that are at par with ritzy city hotels, but unlike the lively fast-pace of city life here at Cotswolds, you can only enjoy pure bliss in a laid-back rest and relaxation with no worries and cares.

Encompassed in the lovely region of Cotswolds are small villages and market towns namely

• Bourton-on-the-Water • Broadway, Worcestershire • Bibury • Burford • Chipping Campden • Chipping Norton • Cirencester • Malmesbury • Moreton-in-Marsh • Nailsworth • Northleach • Shipston-on-Stour • Stow-on-the-Wold • Tetbury • Winchcombe • Wotton-under-Edge

While the larger urban towns of Cheltenham, Dursley and Stroud as well as the cities of Bath and Gloucester lie in and are impart of the Cotswolds too. Here the best way to appreciate the sceneries that the places have is to enjoy the leisurely long walks, bicycle rides along the main paths.

There are a variety of Cotswolds hotels and inns that may cater to walk-in guests or tourists. And some can also make arrangements to make your stay more enjoyable. There are certain itineraries and spots where hotel personnel can attend to at your every enquiry so that you can make the most out of your stay in Cotswolds.

Places to visit are the following:

• Beverston Castle • Calcot Manor • Chavenage House • Chedworth Roman Villa • Cirencester Abbey • Malmesbury Abbey • Owlpen Manor • Sudeley Castle • Tetbury Market House • Broadway Tower • Corsham Court

Structures from the villages and towns in the areas date back from the 16th and 17th century or maybe earlier are refurbished into Cotswolds hotels or bed and breakfast inns. This is simply beneficial since it helps to relive the areas’ history as well as enjoy the modernity.

The area has a vast array to choose from when it comes to accommodation. There are boutique and budget hotels, bed and breakfast inns as well as self-catering, farm stays and camping grounds.

Rest assured that one will never regret the experiences and the delights of the breath-taking scenery of the place, people and culture. So whether you choose a Cotswolds hotel, a B&B or perhaps a stay in a farm park out in the Cotswold Hills. It is all a matter of choice and budget. Whatever one decides is an experience in its own right.

Cotswold.Com is the official site and guide of the lovely area in West Central England. It boasts of majestic scenery, heritage and leisure all rolled into one. Cotswolds hotels and inns in the area are specially mentioned in the prestigious Tourism Business of the Year by Cotswold Tourism Awards 2010. For more information you may visit: cotswolds.com
