If you've always wanted to have a go at windsurfing, make your way to Lancelin - a tiny crayfishing town known as something of a gem for the sport. A long stretch of flat water with several reef breaks behind makes the spot ideal for all levels of windsurfer, from novices to experts. Meanwhile, if you'd rather stay above sea level, you might enjoy the excitement of hurtling down Avon River's white-water rapids in a canoe or kayak. For something more sedate, you could always admire the scenery as you raft along Blackwood River or the Frankland waterway, taking in the lush, green forests as you travel.
