In the new toys regulations formulated by the European Union which has put into practice in 20, July, new strict requirements on mechanical function, physical and chemical function are strengthened. The limit on heavy metal types was increased to 19 types from the previous 8 types. In addition, 66 kinds of anaphylactic spices are limited to use. Except the European Union and U.S, other countries such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand have also issued new toys safety regulations on the zinc content in children toys. One China toys manufacturer said the goal of new toys safety standard was to protect children’s safety when playing with toys, which is understandable. However, the premise was that this standard should be scientific and reasonable. According to the new requirement on zinc content, China toys manufacturer should improve their production environment, equipment, process and other aspects if they wanted to export toys to overseas.
