Psychology can be defined as the systematic study of human mind and behavioural patterns. It is a blossoming educational discipline and an important specialized practice. The main thing that psychology seems to portray is the understanding of behaviors in human minds. Psychology is a discipline that is becoming gradually applicable to every endeavour in the society today. The field of psychology is a wide, very versatile and lucrative field. People study psychology for several reasons. One of the reason is the love of the enthusiasm the get from the discipline. The second reason is that the skills acquired in psychology are relevant to every area of human endeavor. Psychology portrays a relationship between the human mind and its feelings. People also study psychology because of the various aspects of careers that is accrued to it. Psychology provides a way into many other professional careers. Many lucrative careers in the world today have their roots in psychology. People who study psychology also have personal development from the knowledge gathered in psychology which can now be channeled into every sphere of life for profiting. People who desire to study psychology can do so at different levels. The first level is for Bachelor degree, the second level is for Masters Degree and the last one is for doctorate degree. For people who desires to start with the Bachelor’s degree, they will need to provide a General Education Development certificate, a diploma from high school and other relevant degree that can be joined together with psychology. People can progress after the Bachelor’s degree to study psychology at a Masters Degree level. This level is broader than the Bachelor’s degree. For people who desire to acquire Masters Degree in psychology, they need to have attended a graduate program for the duration of 2 years. They also need to possess a clinical addition with research dissertation. The last level in the study of psychology is the doctorate degree. This is where people can learn the growth of knowledge, awareness and human mind sexual growth. People who have a doctorate degree in psychology can go for family and marriage psychotherapy, child psychology, guidance psychology, game psychology and unique education instructor . There are so much career opportunities for people who study psychology. The field of discipline provides a basis for people to step on to higher heights in life. The most important aspect of psychology is that people who pursue careers in it earn lots of money. They are highly paid professionals because of the work they render. People can earn as much as $40,000 - $80,000 and even more than that. The amount of money earned depends on the places of work. Psychology does not only have to be confined to human mind alone, it has gone far beyond that. It spanned so many field of endeavour and people who are engaged in it have the opportunity to choose any career of their choice. It can lead to greater achievements in life and also add knowledge to people’s lives. People can progress after the Bachelor’s degree to study psychology at a Masters Degree level. This level is broader than the Bachelor’s degree.
