Samsung Galaxy SII The Samsung Galaxy SII is one of the best selling phones of all time – a fine achievement considering it only arrived on the market this year. Although the device has a average resolution and one that is lower than the iPhone 4 and the Sensation from HTC, it offers an amazingly bright picture and the images in bright light are something to behold. Aesthetics The Samsung Galaxy SII is also a quite attractive phone and at only 8.49mm wide it is amazingly slim – one of the thinnest on the market – a testament to it considering the power in the phone. The device uses Android 2.3 and its own user interface called TouchWiz on top. This is all added to by its 8MP camera, which can shoot spectacular 1080p HD video that can be displayed on the device or streamed without wires to a TV using DLNA. The phones popularity stems from the fact it does everything it sets out to do well and so is the best all round Android phone available at the moment. BlackBerry Curve The new 9360 BlackBerry Curve is the companies attempt at getting back to the fore of the market. BlackBerry have had tough times of late with the increasing tech prowess of the Apple and Android devices, however the 9360 is set to change things. The phone comes with the new OS BB7 and also BBM for instant messaging. The device is an attractive phone and gone are the faux leathers that surround other BlackBerrys and in come the attractive chrome strips and high quality plastics that a good looking phone requires. The device comes with a 2.44inch screen and the QWERTY keypad we are sued to – a shame it is not a touch screen. The optical tracker pad is good and we were impressed with browsing on the phone. The device also comes with a 5mp camera and the ability to record 720p video. The BlackBerry is also a lot faster than previous curves and has a relatively good 800MHz chip, good for mid range phones. The Curve will more than likely be popular with younger people who will be attracted to the BBM messaging and also the attractive looks of the device. IPhone 4S IPhone 4S came as a surprise, however the innards of the device offer uses something akin to an iPhone 5 without a different body. The new phone comes with an A5 dual core chip – doubling its power as well as a new and improved camera which is capable of taking 1080p video and stills at an 8mp quality. Sure, we didn’t get the large screen we were promised, however the 3.5inch retina display is still one of the best on the market. IOS5 is also the most user intuitive operating system out there and gives consumers an amazing plethora of apps to choose from. The phone still has the glass back and the aluminium frame, though this new phone brings Apple right up to date with many of the other devices out there Apple’s ability to innovate has in no way taken a hit with this device and though it is not an all new iPhone 5, it will sell by the bundle.
