The end of the year is going to be a big bang particularly now that 3 major boxing match-ups have been staged in which 3 of the Philippine’s best boxes will go head to head with another major boxing match in the US. Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton in October 2 Ana Julaton, better known for her ring name as The Hurricane, will go head to head with Mexican boxer Jessica Villafranca on October 2 which will be in held Mexico. Ana Julaton, currently the WBO Super Bantamweight Champion, as well as the Philippine’s first female boxing champion, will be defending her title against Mexico’s own Jessica Villafranca. Though Ana grew up in the US, in California, Ana will still be fighting for the Philippine’s honor. She is said to be the 2nd American championship boxer in as many months to defend her title in Mexico, following on the heels of Kaliesha West who successfully defeated Villafranca last month. According to latest Philippines Boxing News, the fight will be named as the Laban ng Lahi which will be broadcasted by GMA. Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire on October 22 20 days after Ana’s fight, Nonito “the Filipino Flash” would go against the unbeaten Argentinian, Omar Narvaez to defend his bantamweight belts. Known as the “Next Pacquiao”, and the holder of the IBF Flyweight and IBO Flyweight belts, Nonito Donaire is known for his skills and prowess in boxing, which also became popular because of his knack for winning with a knockout, in which Pacquiao has been known for in his own rising days. Donaire will be defending his bantamweight belts for the first time against Narvaez at the Theater in Madison Square Garden in October 22.
