The giant BlackBerry has recently introduced a new model known as the BlackBerry Torch 9860. This is a phone that was designed using the same technology that was used to design the other BlackBerry phones, but the only difference is that the technology used for this model is a bit more advanced. The new Torch is a phone that makes a great first impression, mainly because the dimensions that is possesses are smaller than those of its predecessors. The visual aspect of this phone is quite appealing because it is a glossy back and the rest of the phone is made from a plastic material that is very striking as well. The screen of this BlackBerry phone measures 3.7 inches and has a high resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This actually means that this phone has the capability of displaying more than 16 million colors, thus giving the user a great experience when viewing files, documents, pictures and videos. The technology that has been used in making the screen of this phone is similar to that used when making TFT screens, which is mostly why it has such a high resolution. Another notable feature of the BlackBerry Torch is that it does not have a physical keyboard which is common to most of the other BlackBerry models. Instead of the physical keyboard, there is a virtual keyboard which is incorporated in the touch screen of the phone. As most of the operations have to be performed using the virtual keyboard, the size of the screen that this phone has is larger than most of the other BlackBerry phones. Professional people, business men and students prefer this phone because of all the beneficial applications that it possesses. These are applications that usually come in handy, especially when it comes to performing various official tasks and entertaining oneself as well. The most common BlackBerry Torch apps that you should become familiar with include Wi-Fi internet connectivity, HTML and Microsoft office. In addition to this, the new BlackBerry Torch is also outstanding because it has a track pad which is optic in nature; and it comes in quite handy when you need to edit e-mails and other text documents as well. All of the other basic features that are found in the other BlackBerry models are also incorporated in this phone, like a digital camera, internal and external memory, etc.
