A healthy head of hair is a beautiful thing. Although many people have naturally beautiful hair, it's easy to lose that health if you aren't careful with the way you treat your hair. While people that struggle with unhealthy hair can benefit from a few tips for creating healthier hair. If you fall into either category, here are a few tips to help. A hair dryer is one of the enemies of healthy hair, but is often a necessary evil. But there are ways to use a hair dyer that are better than others. First, take a look at the settings on your hair dryer. Most hairdryers have both a low and high setting, while some have a medium. It is recommended that you use the low or medium setting when drying your hair. It may take longer but you'll notice a huge difference. Also, before using the hairdryer, try to towel dry or air-dry your hair as much as possible. Make sure that when you use the dryer that you hold it at least six inches away from your scalp. Try to dry in sections and if you have a diffuser, use it. The chemicals you put in your hair are also important. Washing your hair daily with shampoo can strip your hair of essential oils. Instead, try shampooing every other day but continue to condition the hair every day. Also, talk to your stylist at your hair salon in Atlanta for tips on what products to use for your type of hair. Small changes can make a big difference.
