Running an office is no small feat and first time office managers are often surprised at the amount of money spent on monthly office supplies, especially if the company uses a lot of paper. Paper costs are some of the most expensive office supply costs. Though many companies are trying to implement paperless business methods such as emailing and e-faxing, there are still some paper uses that just won't go away. Fortunately, there are ways to cut monthly office supply costs, even when it comes to paper use. One of the most expensive paper costs is the toner used for printers, copiers, and fax machines. A company that has heavy paper traffic can go through thousands of dollars worth of toner and printer ink every month. A good way to cut down on these costs is to find a cheaper HP 02 ink and toner vendor. If you've been using OEM ink and toner and buying it at exorbitant costs, consider buying compatible toner and ink instead. Buying ink and toner in bulk can also be a way to cut costs. You can often get better prices if you buy several months worth of toner than if you are buying on a month-to-month basis. It pricier up front to buy it all at once, but you can save money in the long run. Another great way to cut paper costs is to monitor employee use. Sometimes employees think they can get away with using company resources for personal use. If you carefully monitor this behavior you can put a stop to it. Also, consider charging employees for use of color ink and toner, which is significantly more expensive. Changes like these can really help.
