Roberta McNabb has been accused with the charges of criminal offence. It was next to impossible for her to prove her innocence for what she was charged by York Regional Police. For around one year, from July 4, 2008 to Jan 8, 2009, she was targeted by the police in legal rules and regulation puzzles. Roberta McNabb was suspected as guilty for law violation with no proof and 21 others including two correctional officers and two police officers. After being harassed for almost one year in court formalities, all charges on Roberta McNabb were withdrawn by the crown. Roberta McNabb has worked as a correctional officer for 17 continuous years. Being a correctional officer, she has a great respect for law and regulations. Facing all her professional challenges with efficiency, she has never been convicted of any offence. Her working record was totally clean with an overall positive impact. Still, Roberta McNabb has to deal with different consequences as after-effects of those accusations whenever she faces people in public and through discontented employees at working place. The ramifications have made it harsh for her to lead a normal life with no worries. Roberta McNabb is not acquainted with the reasons why police have accused her for what it took a long time to overcome all the charges honestly. According to Roberta, police threatened her to be charged with criminal organization as well if she kept herself as voiceless. Her silence was considered as hindrance to further proceedings by the police. Police laid unsubstantial charges on her and left all legal procedures up to the lawyers and crown. A snapshot obtained by Star for its Crime and Punishment series from the police database 2005 revealed that some 500,000 cases for people without convictions were there in Canadian Police Information Center. Roberta McNabb said all the charges were biased and so withdrawn by the crown as the police had no evidence against her innocence. At the end, Roberta McNabb was proved as innocent from all the charges pressed by Canadian Police over her.
