Have you gone mobile? If not, it's safe to say your media has yet to truly take off. More people are accessing content through iPads or other mobile devices than ever before, so if you're not on these devices, you're missing the plane. Many media conglomerates are realizing greater revenues from iPad magazines, iPhone apps and Android magazines than they earned in print and online combined. What most publishers don't realize is how easy it is to convert to iPad magazines. Apps exist that can instantly transfer your online and even print content directly to an iPad. You'll likely waste more time on Facebook this morning than it will take you to launch the content. It critical for not only newspapers, magazines and specialty newsletters, but also bloggers, artists and even musicians. One easy step, and your magazine is in the palm of the iPad. Bloggers have just as much to gain. Sure, you're online, but are you easily readable through an Android device? Can I read your content standing in line at the grocery store, or riding the bus? Android users swear by their phones. Without Android magazines, you might as well not exist. Considering the popularity of the Android market, that's a consumer sector you just can't afford to live without. You may be online, but without an app to be on every mobile device available, your audience still remains second rate. Whether you're traditional print or a blogger, you likely have years of content that needs preserved. This can be especially helpful for links to previous stories that provide background, as well as other online content. Your links are valuable. Ipad magazines should enhance them, not trash them and start over. Apps converting your content to Android magazines are amazingly easy to use, both from the publisher's point of view as well as the consumer. Publishing is automatic, using the same interfaces you already use, so there's no mystery there. Consumers then get a wide vantage of search features, print options, sharing features and other social media enhancements. At its best, media engages people, and there are no better ways to engage with people than iPad magazines or other mobile options such as Android magazines. It's a way of linking the interactive features of the Internet and unleashing social media. Create a buzz across all spheres with online technology that interacts with the future.
