You will find that many companies have very prominent generational differences. Getting past these differences is what will make your business stronger and get your employees to work effectively. You will have to decide between employee or independent contractor.

There are some that would want to argue against the fact that you would need to make a choice. With the chance of having penalties brought up, it is a choice you will need to make carefully. The chance of penalties could include many different possibilities like unpaid employment taxes and also unpaid overtime compensation as well. For the first step you take, it will have to decide the type of relationship that is going on between the employer and employee.

You will have to ask yourself if this is a temporary project, or is this something that will be continued on a permanent basis? Going over the benefits that are available is another way in which to determine about having an independent contractor or employee. For both sides of the cases, there needs to be a contract that is put in place to help with subtle generational differences down the line. In keeping these things in mind you will see the exact relationship that exists.

The behavioral environment that is present is the next step that you will have to consider. Knowing the when, how, and where of a worker completing a job are all part of this. Figuring out who will be buying the supplies is another question that details how to define this. You should know that there may be a need to hire assistants at some point in time because of the various differences in generations.

Financial considerations and the business portion of projects is the last factor to consider. With this, you need to really think about if this is an hourly project or if you will want this as more of per-project relationship. In the discussion of cost, you have to ask if it will have a set pay to it or will it be paid per project. Determining these key elements, help you define the lines between employee or independent contractor.

The type of relationship can be easily discovered when you make sure you clear up all of these points and set some rules as well. Clarifying these qualities first, before hiring someone, is very important. Going through al of these elements will define the many prominent generational differences.
