Roberta McNabb confronted the charges of a criminal offence being accused by York Regional Police. The police pushed her in the vicious circle of legal rules and regulations for approximately one year. From July 4, 2008 to Jan 8, 2009, she had been alleged for law infringement without any evidence and 21 others including two Correctional Officers and two Police Officers. After being enraged for almost one year in court formalities, all charges on Roberta McNabb were withdrawn by the crown. Roberta McNabb, who has worked as a correctional officer for 17 years, is still facing the consequences of those accusations in public places and through discontented workplace employees. The repercussions have made it harsh for her to lead a normal life with no worries. She was innocent and completely unaware of the reasons why police has accused her. Also, police laid unsubstantial charges on her and left all legal procedures up to the lawyers and crown. Roberta McNabb said that her silence was considered as a hinder in further processing and she had been through a rigorous mental torture by York Regional Police to agree the claims. At last, trust come out and Roberta McNabb was proved as innocent from all the charges imposed by Canadian Police over her. A snapshot obtained by Star for its Crime and Punishment series from the police database 2005 revealed that there were around 500,000 cases for people without convictions in Canadian Police Information Center. The Information Center included records for people who were acquitted as well as those whose charges were stayed or withdrawn. Even if withdrawn charges included in reports from record checks were based on false allegations. Roberta McNabb said that all biased charges were withdrawn by the crown as the police had no evidence against her innocence.
